John Hill (ca. 1603-1664), the progenitor of this family, is first mentioned in the records of Dorchester, Mass. in 1633. He married ca. 1629 probably in England a woman named Francis (b. ca. 1608). Frances was admitted to Dorchester church about 1638. They had thirteen children. Descendants live primarily in the New England states and St. Lawrence Co., N.Y. Various progenitors of the allied family lines also settled in the New England states and Canada.

There are many American families with the names Cary or Carey, Estes, and Moore. Numerous genealogy books have been written on all three. This book focuses on one branch of each family and traces them from the earliest known ancestors to the present generation (1981). All three families came to America in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. the Carys came from England; the Estes from Italy, by way of England; and the Moores from Scotland. This is a sequel to The Cary-Estes Genealogy by Patrick Mann and May Folk Web, published in 1939.

Peter and Helene Youngson family history. Immigrants from Denmark moved to and farmed near Valparaiso, Indiana 1858 thru 1876. Peter fought in the Civil War and in 1876 moved to Kearney County, Nebraska to Homestead. After Peter died in 1879, Helene farmed with her children, eventually moved into town, Minden, NE and later followed her daughters to Denver, CO where she lived until her death. Helene and Peter are both buried in the Osco cemetery, just south of Norman, NE. This book was initially compiled by stories put together by Charlene Villars in 1983 and in 2015 we have updated as much as she and I have been able to find.
