The Book of Affinitive Life: Part 1 in Conjunction: The Book of Life is mainly about life on Earth concerning the invited signals of love that create addictions and eventually transcend into affinitive life. It is commonly characterized in the world as a passion, hobby, or bond to someone or something; and it is practiced or lived by means of a habitual lifestyle or habit by virtue of signal responsiveness in response to behavior in interaction with whom or what affinitive life centers on. The surprisingly interesting spiritual fact about the love signal is that it lies beyond ordinary experiences and supernaturally transcends into an acquired spirit that is grafted into your natural spirit as an integral part, which is then potentially lived as affinitive life, and in turn, a passion, hobby, or bond to someone or something. Affinitive life as a passion, hobby, or bond is actually unknown to the world as such. That is because it is spirit-based and all spiritual lives are physically based. It is called The Book of Affinitive Life as it refers to and relates to the natural side of life first, and then to the same degree, it relates to the spirit side of life. When I walked into the Big Spring Federal Prison Camp over thirty years ago, I had no idea that God was going to change everything about my life. I had no burden for inmates. I was only going to teach a Bible class in prison because I could not get out of it. For six years, I drove 120 miles round-trip every Friday night for that class. The last two years of the six, we drove back over on Saturday afternoon after visitation to work with the families. It was during this time that the prison system began to expand at a rapid pace. When we started into the prison in Big Spring, it was the only prison west of Fort Worth in the entire state (now we have about forty). While some people find new opportunities in the postindustrial economy, many working-class men find their social and economic well-being collapse as blue-collar jobs are outsourced and offshored to the global labor market. Faced with limited options to earn a living-wage, many of these blue-collar workers are instead changing who they are, embracing a deviant, rebellious identity expressed by the contemporary southern rock revival musicians studied in this book. Although loosely based in the traditional culture and lifestyle of the southeastern United States, contemporary southerness has little to do with region but instead is a way to rebel from the very institutions blue-collar men traditionally used as the basis of their masculine pride: family, education, employment, military service, and religion.
