On the High Seas is a collection of short stories based on true life experiences involving the author's life on the water. I wrote On the High Seas to inspire young people to seek their dreams, but only after they have adequately prepared themselves for the task. The first story in the book illustrates that careful preparation and training help and is critical to the successful accomplishment of one's goals. The second story illustrates that even though the participants were well trained, the lack of adequate preparation brought them in close proximity with calamity.
