Very often, the Father gives to His children special presents! They are given, along with thousands of other blessings, on a daily basis, and if we are truly honest with ourselves and look at these presents, we will be all the more grateful! This is an account based on the facts presented in the Bible, and largely on the prophetic Scriptures. I realize that many in the church-those who claim to be Christians-will not allow themselves to believe on these Scriptures. This is heartbreaking, for I believe this will be to their great harm! This book will try to convince the reading Christian of how truly dear he or she is to the Father, and how He longs for us to be close to Him in His Son. (And no, it isn't inspired, but God did through His Word turn the lights on!) This is more than a bedtime story for children of all ages. My hope is that it will be a great encouragement-for though we may grow a bit weary in our journey, we still enjoy the good fight. We are very dear to the One who has already won it, and He looks forward to greeting us on the other side . . . And men everywhere should seek Him with a new zeal, for He will soon rise to shake violently the earth! Even so, come Lord Jesus!

When Jake Chin headed off to the war in Vietnam, he left a lot of things behind in California, including his parents, his identical twin brother, and nearly two decades of unresolved family conflict and drama. Then, once in 'Nam, he left even more behind—but took something away with him. When his friend and fellow soldier was shot down on the battlefield in Laos, Jake abandoned his name and military career and picked up his fallen friend's identity. But becoming someone else isn't exactly easy. There are deliberate changes that must be made and complications that inevitably creep in during the process. All those things Jake left behind in California and Laos slowly but surely come back to haunt him, and, where his past intersects with his present, a great risk to his future is created. Can Jake go on living another man's life? Can he find love and peace? Or will his duplicity get the better of him and turn his dream for a new life into a living nightmare? A sharp and sophisticated novel, Heir of Promise tells a thoroughly thrilling tale of trial, tribulation, and triumph that will entertain you and stimulate your sensibilities and higher thinking.

While hiking in 2010, an ill-advised, off-trail climb left debut author K. Bradley Watson dangling precariously over the edge of a cliff. Narrowly escaping disaster, Watson then found himself lost in the woods, bushwhacking for hours before he found his way out of a dense canyon forest. The haphazard hiking moment became an epiphany for him, underscoring the importance of following trails. As in hiking, so it is in life and faith: to find our way, we need the direction of a path to guide us. In A Path Called Compelling, Watson reimagines the Christian faith as the Jesus Path, where three key events from Jesus's life (birth, baptism, temptations) are revealed to be more than events to believe in, but a path meant to be entered, travelled, and lived. Acting as an expedition guide, raconteur, and pastor, Watson weaves masterful storytelling with thoughtful reflections on Scripture that will have readers chuckling to themselves in one moment while readying themselves to travel the Jesus Path in the next. Fresh and urgent, the book invites readers to rediscover faith as they walk and explore A Path Called Compelling.
