Abstract: Guidelines for the development and implementation of nutrition services as on integral part of health care programs are presented in this guide for health planners, program administrators, and health care providers. Topics include: the importance of nutrition; kinds of nutrition services needed in health care programs; how and where nutrition services should be provided; how to plan a nutrition service; and who should be involved. Current nutritional concerns in the U.S. are briefly considered. A glossary, bibliography, and numerous appendices supplement the text material.
