The book is invaluable source of analyses of regulatory convergence and divergence in international economic order and how the new mega-regionals have tried to interface this with regard to new technological advances in diverse fields, such as digital trade; environmental and energy policy; food safety and public health; and intellectual property rights.

Economic policy debates have devoted increasing attention to the design and implementation of policies to aid the growth of high-technology firms and industries.
