Memories flood my mind as I reminisce how my journey has been a lifetime of happenings that speak to my soul with lessons that can be applied to our daily lives. These memories are conjured up at odd and, sometimes, inconvenient times. As I sat in church last Sunday and the pastor began his message, my mind captured a thought of bygone days that spoke loud and clear to my mind, and I scrambled in my bag for a pen and paper to put my thoughts down. Brother Tim must have thought he had really said something profound, and he did, but I did not write that down. Reading Ericka's Story was one of the hardest things I have ever done. There were times when I had to stop reading, because I could not stop crying. This Is as Good as It Gets is the sixth book that I have written for Xlibris. It introduces some new main characters to the readerYa Ya, Carolyn, Terry, Mindy, Peter, Mark, and their classmates at school in suburban Philadelphia in the 1960s. It tells the story of how my brothers and I found out our mother had MS and how we dealt with it during our school years and also later in life. This book is an interactive one and also teaches how to put together a science fair for an elementary school. This book also teaches some important family values both in the 1960s and today.
