Beautiful, flame-haired, fiercely independent Prudence has two passions: Scotland and the heroics of Ligun Doone, scourge of the hated Redcoats. And she is shocked when her father takes one of those Redcoats–a wounded English soldier–into their home on the shores of Loch Ness. But soon Prudence begins to suspect this Englishman is more than he seems–she fears he is a spy, even as she begins to surrender her heart. What's more, she is suddenly embroiled in a daring plot to rescue rebel Scots and smuggle a cypher containing the location of Bonnie Prince Charlie's lost treasure. This is her adventure of a lifetime, with even greater treasures to be found on her Journey to Enchantment.

William Sharp (1855-1905) was a prolific writer; friend and confidant to the literati of the day; an active member of the occult world of the late Victorian period; and a man who spent his life cloaked in layers of secrets - the most important being that he was the pen behind the writings of the mysterious Fiona Macleod. He kept her true identity a closely guarded secret. Many famous people - W.B. Yeats, "AE", MacGregor Mathers, Dante Gabriel Rossetti - were involved in Sharp's short life; he was a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and Yeats' secret Celtic Mystical Order; and he and Fiona Macleod were involved with the mysterious Dr. Goodchild whose ancient bowl was proclaimed by many to be the Holy Grail. But the enduring legacy of these two fascinating writers is the wealth of Faery magical lore contained in the writings of Fiona Macleod. For the first time this book reveals previously unknown secrets from the life of William Sharp and shows clearly how to recover the Faery lore contained in Fiona Macleod's literary output. These writings are not only about the Realm of Faery, they are the first authentic first-hand accounts from the Realm of Faery, revealing previously unknown Faery gods and goddesses, Faery belief, lore and magic. The Little Book of the Great Enchantment adds significantly to the corpus of serious writings on this greatly misunderstood subject.

Two families grow a small munitions factory into a global empire in this saga by a New York Times–bestselling author spanning from 1837 to the eve of World War I. In 1837, Joseph Barbour, an upper servant in an English village, immigrates with his family to America so he can make his fortune in the nascent artillery business. A man of vision, Joseph foresees a time when wars will not be won with courage and brave hearts but rather by the nations with superior firearms. Joseph and his family settle in a rural Pennsylvania village, but his wife, Hilda, is unhappy and longs to return to England. Their shy and sensitive younger son, Martin, is also homesick, but what troubles him most is the cruelty and violence he sees in his older brother, Ernest. Martin’s fears come to fruition when Joseph forms a gunpowder firm with Armand Bouchard, who lives with his wife and three sons down the road from the Barbours. As the years pass, Ernest proves himself invaluable to Barbour & Bouchard. Ruthless and ambitious, he takes what he wants. But beautiful Amy Drumhill continues to elude him and becomes the catalyst in a war that will estrange the two brothers and leave Ernest haunted by the blood that will be forever on his hands. Dynasty of Death is a moving saga of two families, the epic struggle between two brothers, and the legacy their guns will leave the world as mighty enemy nations gear up for battle.

For hunters who love the north woods, the past glory of the wilderness is recorded here. Paulina Brandreth, who wrote under the pseudonym Paul Brandreth, was a woman who hunted and photographed deer in the Adirondacks with noted deer hunters Roy Chapman Andrews, General 'Black Jack' Pershing, and Reuben Cary. She began writing for the acclaimed sportsmen's journal Forest and Stream in 1894 at the age of nine. Her material in the magazine was credited to Camp Good Enough, Brandreth Lake, a major deer camp on land purchased by her grandfather specifically for hunting and fishing. One of only a few women writing about hunting at that time, Brandreth chose to continue to write under a pseudonym, publishing Trails of Enchantment in 1930. She was passionate about still-hunting whitetail bucks, evident in a hunt with her guide and friend Reuben Cary: Side by side, we knelt in the snow, waiting for the buck to appear from behind the intervening trunk of a big birch. The suspense was harrowing. And then at last he loomed suddenly before us....
