A complete account of my search for my father would take a lifetime to tell because that's how long I've been looking. Spurs and Scotland star John White was one of the best footballers of the 1960s. However, in July 1964 he was struck by lightning and killed at 27 years-old. From humble beginnings growing up just outside Edinburgh, through to football fame and his tragic death, the play shares John's cheeky humour. It also follows the story of his son Rob White, who was just five months old when his dad died. The play shines a light on the mental health challenges both father and son face and the way we deal with grief and loss. Martin Murphy's The Ghost of White Hart Lane was originally produced by Bruised Sky Productions and supported by Tottenham Hotspur FC. It was commissioned by John White's son Rob and follows on from his and Julie Welch's Sunday Times bestselling biography The Ghost of White Hart Lane - 'In Search of My Father the Football Legend'. This edition was published to coincide with the world premiere at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in July 2024 before the subsequent run at Edinburgh Fringe Festival at Underbelly in August 2024.

Roy Vernon was one of the most deadly strikers in English football's golden era. His goals helped take Wales to the World Cup finals, Blackburn Rovers to promotion to the First Division and Everton to league championship glory. Later in his career, at Stoke City, he was part of Tony Waddington's resurgent 1960s team. But Vernon was more than just a great player. He was a maverick, a smoker and a joker, who defied his managers off the pitch and delighted them on it. Now, 50 years after his retirement from a game he gave so much to, award-nominated author Rob Sawyer and acclaimed Everton historian David France have told his story in full for the first time. Drawing upon Vernon's own unpublished memoir, scores of interviews with friends, family, teammates and opponents, the authors produce a vivid portrait of a man who wowed millions of fans and terrorised hundreds of opponents. Initially brought to life as a crowdfunding project and published as a limited edition of 1000 books, Blue Dragon is the definitive study of one of British Football's forgotten heroes.

When Alex McLeish persuaded European legend Franck Sauzée to sign for Hibernian Football Club in February 1999, it was the club's biggest coup since the signing of George Best. Many people questioned the Gallic Great's motivations, afraid that he was merely coming to pick up his salary and quietly see out his distinguished career. They could not have been more wrong. From his very first game, Franck Sauzée embraced the Hibs culture and quickly won over the fans. He proved that he was still a great footballer and helped to lead his new team from the mediocrity of the Scottish First Division back to the heights of the Scottish Premier League. Sauzée became club captain, inspired his team mates, scored many unforgettable goals, took Hibs to a Scottish Cup Final and became a club legend. An ill-fated spell as the club's manager saw the end of Sauzée's Hibernian career, but he left the club as one of its best loved and most revered players. Now Ted Brack takes fans behind the scenes to document the highs and lows of the days when Le God graced Easter Road. With inside stories from directors, managers, players and supporters, this is a must-read book for Hibs fans of all ages who still treasure the memory of Franck Sauzée, Hibernian superstar.
