The first-ever auiobook for gen:LOCK, the hit animated sci-fi series starring Michael B. Jordan, Dakota Fanning, David Tennant, and Maisie Williams! The last few months have been a whirlwind for Cammie MacCloud. Ever since she agreed to join the gen:LOCK program to help fight the Union, an authoritarian force threatening the world, she's been struggling to find her place in the group. As a 17-year-old genius hacker, she doesn't really fit in among the other four recruits: She can't shoot, she isn't the most graceful in the field, and her brash style doesn't exactly jibe with Command. But Cammie notices things the others don't, and she has the skills to investigate when something feels off... like their latest mission, which currently finds them stranded at the center of a deadly storm with a Union spy in their midst. Don't miss this epic, original novel from multiple award-winning author Melissa Scott and the gen:LOCK team!

This manual provides easy to follow, step-by-step instruction in the use of various graphic, animation and video production software for the Commodore Amiga personal computer. The manual assumes that the user knows nothing about computers so each step and its consequences are explained completely from turning on the computer to saving a disk and printing the screen image. Many excellent programs have been designed for the Amiga which are compatible with each other sharing the IFF format. They may be used to create art by computer without prior computer experience or any knowledge of programming. This manual introduces some of these programs and present applications for their use. In addition various hardware peripherals are described which allow multi-media and video production. The book should be used with the various programs operating as their own illustrations on the monitor screen. The final chapter is a gallery of computer generated images.

This book approaches the topic of the state of post-cinema from a new direction. The authors explore how film has left the cinema as a fixed site and institution and now appears ubiquitous - in the museum and on the street, on planes and cars and new digital communication platforms of various kinds. The authors investigate how film has become more than cinema, no longer a medium that is based on the photochemical recording and replay of movement. Most often, the state of post-cinema is conceptualized from the "high end" of the most advanced technology; discussions focus on performance capture and digital 3-D, 4-K projection and industrial light & magic. Here, the authors' approach is focused on the "low-end" circulation of filmic images. This includes informal networks of exchange and transaction, such as p2p-networks, video platforms and so called “piracy” with a special focus on the Middle East and North Africa, where political and social transformations make new forms of circulation and presentation particularly visible.
