Moses Baker (ca.1708-1786) moved from Virginia to Edgecombe County, North Carolina. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri and elsewhere.

Biographical sketch of William Thatcher Baker (1830-1884), who was born near Zanesville, Licking County, Ohio, and later moved to Texas. There he married Emily Elvira Beeman in 1856, and they became pioneer settlers in Hamilton County, Texas. Descendants and relatives lived in Texas, Oklahoma and elsewhere. Ancestors back to the early 1600s lived in Ohio, New York, New England and elsewhere.
