This debut monograph from Danish fashion brand GANNI documents Scandi 2.0 style, a growing global community of confident, unapologetic women and the unending pursuit of building a responsible fashion company. Based out of Copenhagen, husband-and-wife duo Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup have built GANNI into a global fashion brand of the future in little over a decade. GANNI is at the forefront of responsible and transparent fashion with a cool and stylish approach that is constantly evolving. At the heart of the label lies a Scandinavian sensibility and an open to everyone attitude that celebrates creativity and individuality. This book captures just that—the global #GANNIGirl movement and diverse network of creatives that surrounds the brand, alongside its ongoing efforts to become the most responsible version of itself. World-class photographers, stylists, designers and artists gather here to tell the GANNI story, with archive designs, collections, and iconic collaborations woven throughout. GANNI: Gimme More is a timely publication, printed on sustainable FSC certified paper, that offers readers a window into the world of GANNI, a universe that is playful, mindful—and never dull.

'GANNI offers a blueprint for how to embed sustainability from within' RACHEL CERNANSKY, SUSTAINABILITY EDITOR, VOGUE BUSINESS This book is about what happened when a business leader decided not to bury his head in the sand about climate change; when he found the conversation with his kids about floods from melting ice caps too painful, since his success was wound up in their cause. This book asks what it means to force yourself to take a different business path, where the destination is a responsible and profit-making business. GANNI, the ruthlessly honest Scandinavian fashion brand, is driven by a mission to demonstrate the principles of responsible business, where greater purpose co-exists with financial ambitions. In The GANNI Playbook, co-founder Nicolaj Reffstrup unveils the strategies that propelled GANNI to international stardom (although he'd never say that about their journey), while candidly unravelling the cultural, operational and creative components required to construct a business that embraces an uncertain future. In an engaging conversation with esteemed industry writer Brooke Roberts-Islam, Reffstrup delves into the reality of fashion's carbon emissions and the accompanying sense of guilt associated with growth, openly discussing both triumphs and failures, while honestly acknowledging the trade-offs that come with the journey. The GANNI Playbook is the ultimate hands-on guide to managing a decisive, direct and unapologetic brand.

"Seventeen year-old Kerida Nast may be the only Talent left in the Faraman Peninsula. Ker had always wanted a career in the military, just like the rest of her family, so when her Talent was discovered, and she knew she'd have to spend the rest of her life as a psychic for the Halls of Law, she wasn't happy about it. Just as she's reconciling herself to her new role, the centuries old empire is invaded by strangers from Halia, who begin a systematic campaign of destruction against the Halls themselves, killing every last Talent they can find. Kerida manages to escape, falling in with Tel Cursar, a young soldier fleeing the final battle, which saw the deaths of the royal family. Without this necessary leadership, the remaining military will not be able to act quickly enough to save the empire. As they head for a military outpost still free from the invaders, Kerida and Tel discover a long-hidden colony of Feelers, paranormal outcasts shut away from the world for so long they are considered mythical. These traditional enemies of the Halls of Law welcome Kerida, believing she fulfils a Prophecy they were given centuries before by the last race of griffins. With the help of these new allies Kerida and Tel must track down the missing heir to the throne, or the Halian invaders will never be repelled, and the Rule of Law will end."--]cProvided by publisher.

This volume brings together a dozen papers on various aspects of Maltese, relevant also for the study of related languages and general descriptive and typological linguistics. The diachronic section begins with an analysis of the place of Maltese in its North African context (Souag). Avram and van Putten then provide analyses of the development of Maltese phonological inventory, the former discussing obstruent devoicing, the latter tracing the evolution of Maltese short vowels. Sumikazu examines a type of circumstantial clause in Maltese and the section concludes with a description of a digital etymological lexicon of Maltese (Gatt). Turning to syntax, Borg and Amaira analyze agreement mismatch in a number of syntactic constructions, Fabri discusses argument extension and Čéplö and Lucas examine the role of the focus particle lanqas in Maltese negation. Stolz and Levkovych provide a thorough analysis of the syntax and semantics of Maltese prepositions, while Schmidt, Vorholt and Witt offer a quantitative study of their distribution and use. Closing out the volume, Alexander examines in detail the phonetics of Maltese affricated stops, while Ellul and Galea analyze the epenthetic vowel alternation in the Maltese definite article.
