It was in his monumental 12 "London" symphonies, composed between 1791 and 1795, that Haydn shaped the early form of the symphony and set the standard for later composers. Also included are Mozart's own cadenzas for Nos. 17, 18, and 19. All six concertos are photographically reprinted from the Breitkopf & Hartel printed text, still considered the standard, authoritative edition for the Mozart concertos. Unlike much of Berlioz' music, this meditation on the childhood of Christ is restrained, lyrical, and delicate.
