Peter Leman was born in about 1679 in Bern, Switzerland. He married Anna in about 1700. They had five children. Anna died in 1711. Peter and his children emigrated in 1717 and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He married Magdalene Licht in about 1736 and they had two sons. Peter died in 1741. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Missouri.

Peter Bachman was born in about 1630. He married Anna M. Eschmann. They had seven children and lived in Finstersee, Zug, Switzerland. Hans Jacob Bachmann was born in 1629 in Richterswil, Zurich, Switzerland. He married Regula Strickler in 1653. They had thirteen children. John Baughman was born in about 1880 in Boyle County, Kentucky. He married Caroline Debaun. They had two sons. Ancestors, descendants and relatives of these and other Baughman and Bachman(n) families lived mainly in Switzerland, Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia, Ohio and California.

The town of Little Compton, Rhode Island was founded by a band of explorers from Plymouth Colony. From its inception Little Compton has been a bastion of Mayflower ancestry, including that of the Wilbour family of compiler Benjamin Franklin Wilbour. Mr. Wilbour devoted much of his life to compiling genealogies of his own and other families of Little Compton.
