Excerpt from Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Shipments by Commodities, States and Months, Calendar Year 1958 Truck shipments, expressed in carlot equivalents, are included where information was available. The Arizona truck shipments represent only interstate movement. California truck shipments shown as Passings represent interstate movement; Unloads represent receipts of California production at 108 Angeles, Oakland and San Francisco markets. There were 6026 carlot equivalents of various California vegetables reported in these interstate truck pass ings for 1958 that were not identified by commodity. These other vegetables were mostly spinach, turnips, green onions, squash, beans, peppers, radishes and other items not specifically identified in commodity tables. Florida truck shipments represent interstate movement plus shipments from the peninsula area to West Florida. Texas truck shipments largely represent movement from the Rio Grande valley.
