This book proposes new notions of coherent geometric structure. Fractal patterns have emerged in many contexts, but what exactly is a "pattern" and what is not? How can one make precise the structures lying within objects and the relationships between them? The foundations laid herein provide a fresh approach to a familiar field. From this emerges a wide range of open problems, large and small, and a variety of examples with diverse connections to other parts of mathematics. One of the main features of the present text is that the basic framework is completely new. This makes it easier for people to get into the field. There are many open problems, with plenty of opportunities that are likely to be close at hand, particularly as concerns the exploration of examples. On the other hand the general framework is quite broad and provides the possibility for future discoveries of some magnitude. Fractual geometries can arise in many different ways mathematically, but there is not so much general language for making comparisons. This book provides some tools for doing this, and a place where researchers in different areas can find common ground and basic information.

Summer Mackenzie's high-school sweetheart shattered her heart years ago when he betrayed her. Now he's a world-famous rock star and the last thing she wants is to see him again when her life is crumbling around her. Forgetting what he did is impossible. Ignoring the way he still makes her feel is a losing battle. Saying yes when he throws her a lifeline that will mean living and working closer to him? That would be crazy... Noah Taylor has spent the last decade living life to the fullest. As drummer for Fractured, he's got everything he could ever want. But seeing Summer again reminds him of a time when she had been everything he wanted. That was until she'd made a decision that had torn his heart to shreds. He shouldn't care that her life has imploded. He shouldn't try to help her. And he definitely shouldn't start remembering how good they used to be together... Their chemistry might be undeniable, but second chances don't come easy. After all, shattered hearts can be mended, but trust, once broken, might just stay broken forever. Please be aware that Fractured Trust contains very brief mention of past infertility issues and brief mention of past miscarriage. If these are sensitive issues for you, please read with caution. Fractured Trust is a full-length, second chance romance with a ton of emotion, chemistry that won't be denied, and a super sweet happily ever after. Download it today and get ready to fall in love with Noah and Summer. This is the third standalone novel in the interconnected Fractured Rock Star series, which follows the members of the rock band Fractured as they search for, and find, their happily ever afters. While each book can absolutely be read as a standalone, to get the full experience, they're best read in order.

A BEST BOOK OF THE YEAR: Library Journal, Electric Literature, The New York Public Library, PopMatters A Finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and the Story Prize National Book Award finalist Sarah Shun-lien Bynum’s highly anticipated return weaves together like and unlike, mythic and modern In nine stories that range from the real to the unreal, strange to familiar, funny to frightening, Sarah Shun-lien Bynum reminds us why her wildly original debut, Madeleine Is Sleeping, and her masterful Ms. Hempel Chronicles have become contemporary classics--celebrated and beloved. In a nimble dance of lightness and gravity, Likes explores the full range and contradictions of our contemporary moment. Through unexpected visitors, Waldorf school fairs, aging indie-film stars, the struggle to gain a foothold in the capitalist shell-game of work, the Instagram posts of a twelve-year-old—these stories of friendship and parenthood, celebrity and obsession, race and class and the passage of time, form an engrossing collection that is both otherworldly and suffused with the deceitful humdrum of everyday life. For readers of Joy Williams, George Saunders, Lauren Groff, and Deborah Eisenberg, Likes helps us see into our unacknowledged desires and, in quick, artful, nearly invisible cuts, exposes the roots of our abiding terrors and delights.

Or as a person who lived your life out on the limb and trusted God enough to live in crazy faith? Noah looked crazy when he started building the ark . . . until it started raining. It was crazy for Moses to lead a nation of people into the desert away from Egypt . . . until the Red Sea parted. It was crazy to believe that a fourteen-year-old virgin would give birth to the Son of God . . . until Mary held Jesus in her arms. Smartphones, Wi-Fi, and even the electric light bulb were all groundbreaking, history-making inventions that started out as crazy ideas.
