Excerpt from Seventh Annual Report of the State Charities Aid Association to the State Commission in Lunacy: November 1, 1899 This is an increase during the year ending September 30, 1899, of 637, as compared with an increase of 703 during the preceding year. The increase during the year in the number of patients in State hospitals is 562, as compared with 688 during the previous year. Before taking up the State hospitals in their order we will make some observations that seem to relate to all.
