Imagine having a person in your life that brings you clarity from confusion, confidence from insecurity, and accelerated instead of gradual growth. A good coach can change virtually every area of your life by drastically enhancing your knowledge, your skills, your desire, and your confidence and transform your low thoughts of value to high thoughts of value. Micheal Burt has won championships as a former head women's basketball coach. He has infused his coaching acumen with his business and entrepreneurial mindset. Burt embraces the concept of intense but, positive and brings a level of creativity, depth, and energy that very few coaches possess. He has the ability to cross over from the locker room to the board room and infuses ideas from both sport and business into each other's arena in ways that only a championship coach can. Everybody Needs a Coach in Life takes three decades worth of coaching and condenses it into a book that can change the way you see every area of your life by someone that knows how to get the most out of you. p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Arial; color: #424242}

Coach Max Bass was a head football coach for thirty-two years; two years at the Boles School in Jacksonville, Florida, and twenty-nine years at Newnan High School in Newnan, Georgia. For eleven years, he also coached baseball, track, and golf. During his time in Newnan, he also served as the athletic director for all sports at the school. In football, Coach Bass’s record was 216–109–8. His team won eight regional championships and, in 1981, was the state runner-up. He was a charter member and president of the Georgia Athletic Directors Association, a member of the American Football Coaches Association, and served on the GACA Hall of Fame selection committee. Coach Bass was named Coach of the Year in 1991 by the GACA and the Atlanta Football Officials Association. He was Athletic Director of the Year from 1989 to 1990 and was inducted into the Georgia Athletics Directors Hall of Fame in 2010. In 1995, the Newnan High Athletic Complex was given his name, and in 2003, he was inducted into the Coweta County Hall of Fame. His pastimes were fishing, gardening, and just being outdoors. He loved his family, watching and talking football and bringing up politics for “lively discussion.” But above all, Coach Max Bass found his greatest mission in the development and love for all the students and young people he either coached or encouraged. He passionately wanted everyone to be the best person they could be and rise above their situation and life challenges. He was an “influencer” of his time.

The New York Times bestseller by the acclaimed, bestselling author of Start With Why and Together is Better. Now with an expanded chapter and appendix on leading millennials, based on Simon Sinek's viral video "Millenials in the workplace" (150+ million views). Imagine a world where almost everyone wakes up inspired to go to work, feels trusted and valued during the day, then returns home feeling fulfilled. This is not a crazy, idealized notion. Today, in many successful organizations, great leaders create environments in which people naturally work together to do remarkable things. In his work with organizations around the world, Simon Sinek noticed that some teams trust each other so deeply that they would literally put their lives on the line for each other. Other teams, no matter what incentives are offered, are doomed to infighting, fragmentation and failure. Why? The answer became clear during a conversation with a Marine Corps general. "Officers eat last," he said. Sinek watched as the most junior Marines ate first while the most senior Marines took their place at the back of the line. What's symbolic in the chow hall is deadly serious on the battlefield: Great leaders sacrifice their own comfort--even their own survival--for the good of those in their care. Too many workplaces are driven by cynicism, paranoia, and self-interest. But the best ones foster trust and cooperation because their leaders build what Sinek calls a "Circle of Safety" that separates the security inside the team from the challenges outside. Sinek illustrates his ideas with fascinating true stories that range from the military to big business, from government to investment banking.

Throughout his fascinating 45-year career, Coach Mike Jarvis has experienced what it feels like to be on top of the world. He also knows what it's like on the other end of college basketball's vast spectrum (and every place in between). Through it all, he has come to some significant conclusions about the true meaning of life. In the book Everybody Needs A Head Coach, Jarvis shares stories from his incredible run as a championship high school coach and his successful years as the leader of four NCAA Division I programs that have included interactions with high profile figures such as Red Auerbach, Patrick Ewing, Michael Jordan, Ron Artest, Mike Krzyezewski, Adrian Branch, Sam Jones, Rumeal Robinson, and Matt Damon. But more importantly, Coach Jarvis and co-author Chad Bonham turn those experiences into 23 life-affirming lessons that reflect relevant biblical principles such as determination and forgiveness.
