Agricultural policies in Turkey have evolved significantly over time and the Agricultural Law of 2006 aims to align Turkey’s policies with those of the European Union. Several emerging issues and challenges for Turkish agricultural policies are discussed in this publication.

Special attention is given to risk management instruments and environmental measures. The conclusions drawn in this report seek to inform future reforms of the CAP.

This year’s report focuses on policy responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and analyses the implications of agricultural support policies for the performance of food systems.
