Guidelines prepared by the Federal Environmental Assessment and REview Process to assist in the preparation of an environmental impact statement on low-level military flying activities in Labrador and Quebec. Subsequent evaluations of the Environmental Impact Statementare compared to these guidelines.

This compilation of critiques of the Environmental Impact Statement on Military Flying Activities in Labrador and Quebec was prepared by the author at the request of the Naskapi Montagnais Innu Association. Twenty five technical experts were asked to read the Environmental Impact Statement to see whether it met the Guidelines established by the Environmental Assessment Panel in January 1987. The compilation includes reviews which examine the EIS from the following standpoints: project justification; adequacy of the project description; adequacy of noise impact sections; adequacy of socio-medical impact sections; adequacy of electromagnetic radiation sections; adequacy of socio-economic and cultural impact sections; and adequacy of biophysical impact sections. The compendium also contains comments from the Utshimassiu and Sheshatshiu Innu on the EIS and military flight training in gneneral.
