Job Corps is a national employment training program that provides severely disadvantaged youth with a comprehensive array of services, generally in residential setting. It serves about 66,000 participants from 112 centers in 46 states at a cost of about $1 billion a year. This report provides information on: the locations of Job Corps centers & their capacity, by state; the extent to which participants are trained & placed in jobs in the state in which they reside; & the reasons why participants may be sent to centers outside their state of residence.
