Institutions around the world are increasing their online presence, from rural elementary schools to prestigious doctoral programs. Within these institutions are faculty members and teachers who might not have adequate preparation for designing online courses or teaching them in an effective way. TOWLYM was written as a no-nonsense, practical, and sometimes humorous guide for teachers and faculty who just want to know how to do it and why it should be done that way. The book includes everything a teacher or professor needs to know to design and teach a high quality online course- from brainstorming and storyboarding to grading, giving feedback, and handling unique online student issues. This book can be a useful addition to an institutionally-supported training program, or as a stand-alone resource for those who lack institutionalized support for online course design and teaching.

Featuring essays by an international array of literature scholars, this volume examines the challenges and opportunities of teaching literature at Open and Virtual Universities in a wide range of national, cultural and linguistic contexts. It presents cutting-edge explorations of seminal issues, including: literature pedagogy and curriculum building; canon and theory debates; the uses of hypertext and other digital tools for literary instruction; the writing and evaluation of educational material; and the teaching of digital literature. These issues are addressed from various critical and theoretical viewpoints, which reflect the contributors' long educational and administrative involvement with open and distance learning (ODL) in a rich diversity of cultural and academic frameworks. As the first scholarly attempt to bring together questions of literature pedagogy and issues in open and distance, online and blended learning, this book is an essential resource for literature instructors and administrators in ODL, e-learning and b-learning programs. It offers techniques enabling scholars in more traditional academic settings to make literature courses more effective and stimulating by using tools developed for distance learning.

Mind Sight, also known as "seeing without eyes," has recently become well known thanks to the internet and social media. This book is a training manual intended for adults who seek to learn seeing without eyes in the comfort of their own home. This is not designed for adults who are severely visually impaired. This text includes many exercises and access to downloadable materials from the book's website. Most importantly, it offers a day-by-day practice program that can last the reader anywhere from one to three years, depending on how regularly one engages in the training. The exercises are for self-training. No partners, groups, or instructors are needed. Training with others can be beneficial, though. These exercises are easily modified to use with a partner in person or over the internet. For those who cannot afford expensive international training events, or who would prefer solo training for any other reason, this book is ideal. Learning to perceive colors, shapes, black and white, letters, and numbers are significant portions of the training. Boredom-busters and ideas for keeping things fresh are included. The paperback version of this book also includes a training log/journal, so that readers can track their progress and record their insights. Because of this, eBook readers or audiobook listeners are urged to consider the paperback version instead, or purchase the paperback "Mind Sight Training Log" separately, or use a blank notebook. Mind Sight includes personal guidance and anecdotes from the author's own training experiences. This book is designed for adult learners only, as adults tend to learn this ability more slowly than children. The reader's patience, grit, openness, curiosity, humor, as well as a fun and relaxed attitude are required. Being a self-motivated person is extremely important for this process. This book is a pilot program. Therefore, results will largely depend on how much time and effort the reader applies to it, as well as other conditions of daily life (i.e. stress). Nothing is guaranteed. Those who train regularly may realize various meditative and self-developmental benefits. Readers who engage the training will need to purchase simple materials listed in the book for their home training. These materials are typically available in craft, hobby, and office supply stores. Through his books, online courses, and in-person classes, Sean McNamara has taught Telekinesis, Lucid Dreaming, Out-of-Body Experiences, Remote Viewing, and Meditation. He appeared in the 2020 film "SUPERHUMAN: The Invisible Made Visible" in the segment on telekinesis, as well as other shows. For more about the author, visit
