Diary of Love Poem II is the fifth book in the Gramma Larson Remembers series. It continues the love story that began on a bus in 1956. They were married in 1957 and their love sustained for another thirty-one years. Although Ivar died in 1988, her love for him did not die. It was unrelenting for another seventeen years. Diary of Love Poems II fills in 197 blank spots left in the original Diary of Love Poems. This completes the set of 300 poems Gramma wrote about her Ivar. She penned them in the seventeen year period from when he passed away to two days before she left to meet him. Helen continues to tell her love story in poems, of how much she loved Ivar, how much she missed him and all the things they used to do, and how much she prayed he would return, knowing all along it could never be. The author has also sprinkled in a small number of photographs with captions.

Diary of Love Poems is the second book of the Gramma Larson Remembers series. It is a love story that began on a bus in 1956. It continued until her husband Ivar passed away thirty-one years later on January 21, 1988. However, Helen's love for Ivar did not end then. It carried on for another seventeen years until she left to meet him on May 18, 2005. "As I go to sleep and this poem closes my book to you, I will be dreaming of meeting my love Ivar, my son Paul, Jesus, and Elvis you too." Helen O. Larson was born October 24, 1910 and brought up in a small New England village named Rockland. It was subsequently destroyed in the 1920s to build the Scituate Reservoir. Forced to leave their farm, her family relocated to the village of Hope. Later she married, had two sons, and then divorced. In 1956 she met Ivar E. Larson, the driver of the Pawtuxet Valley Bus line. He drove the bus she would travel on to her house cleaning jobs. One spring morning as they were talking she expressed she really did not want to go to work. His reply was, don't go. She in turn replied she had to. Her husband had left her and she had to provide for her two sons. He mentioned his wife had left him also. And so began a love story. Helen tells her story in poems of how much she loved Ivar, how much she missed him, and how she prayed he would return, knowing all along it could never be. Included are a mixture of over 40 photographs and documents with captions. Her son, Raymond A. Wolf, has sprinkled verses of her poetry in his books: The Lost Villages of Scituate, The Scituate Reservoir, Foster, West Warwick, Pawtuxet Valley Villages, and Coventry all part of the Images of America series by Arcadia Publishing. The Gramma Larson Remembers series, including The Lost Village of Rockland, features Helen O. Larson's poems in their entirety. Although she passed away in 2005, in her 94th year, her memory lives on through her poetry. Wolf Publishing is proud to make her work available to everyone.

Love’s Diary explains what happens with love while people experience certain things in their relationships. If love had a diary of her own, this is what it would sound like. After each poem, you have the opportunity to write down your own thoughts on love, which makes this your personal diary of love. Love is a precious gift from God that we all possess in some kind of form and what we do with this gift reflects who we are. As a result, our intimate relationships will either grow or diminish. It’s important to understand that love is not determined by what occurs in our relationships. Love is always present but we may not always be present with love.

Alex Dimitrov’s third book, Love and Other Poems, is full of praise for the world we live in. Taking time as an overarching structure—specifically, the twelve months of the year—Dimitrov elevates the everyday, and speaks directly to the reader as if the poem were a phone call or a text message. From the personal to the cosmos, the moon to New York City, the speaker is convinced that love is “our best invention.” Dimitrov doesn’t resist joy, even in despair. These poems are curious about who we are as people and shamelessly interested in hope.

Why a monumental diary by an aunt and niece who published poetry together as “Michael Field”—and who were partners and lovers for decades—is one of the great unknown works of late-Victorian and early modernist literature Michael Field, the renowned late-Victorian poet, was well known to be the pseudonym of Katharine Bradley (1846–1914) and her niece, Edith Cooper (1862–1913). Less well known is that for three decades, the women privately maintained a romantic relationship and kept a double diary, sharing the page as they shared a bed and eventually producing a 9,500-page, twenty-nine-volume story of love, life, and art in the fin de siècle. In Chains of Love and Beauty, the first book about the diary, Carolyn Dever makes the case for this work as a great unknown “novel” of the nineteenth century and as a bridge between George Eliot and Virginia Woolf, Victorian marriage plot and modernist experimentation. While Bradley and Cooper remained committed to publishing poetry under a single, male pseudonym, the diary, which they entitled Works and Days and hoped would be published after their deaths, allowed them to realize literary ambitions that were unfulfilled during their lifetime. The women also used the diary, which remains largely unpublished, to negotiate their art, desires, and frustrations, as well as their relationships with contemporary literary celebrities, including Robert Browning, Oscar Wilde, William Butler Yeats, and Walter Pater. Showing for the first time why Works and Days is a great experimental work of late-Victorian and early modernist writing, one that sheds startling new light on gender, sexuality, and authorship, Dever reveals how Bradley and Cooper wrote their shared life as art, and their art as life, on pages of intimacy that they wanted to share with the world.
