and live fire tests to evaluate the performance of compressed air foam as compared to water. The results of the research indicated that CAFS can provide efficient operations with effective extinguishment and enhanced personnel safety. The results also revealed there are disadvantages of CAFS that must be addressed. Based on the research results, six recommendations were made to address integration and implementation of CAFS on the Davenport Fire Department.
