During the past year I have frequently used it in practice for devitalizing pulps, for local applications, and by injection, and have as yet observed no evil effects of note. Eucain, however, is not capable of producing the same degree of anesthesia under like circumstances as is cocain. This has been proven beyond the possibility of a doubt by the experiments I have made. As this paper is to deal only with the toxic properties of these drugs, I will not here discuss their anesthetic properties.
