Murdina, goes hunting for a man, but this time she wants love not blood. She spots Cameron just as a strong wind lifts his kilt. Sorcha takes a good look and decides he's the one. The same night Sorcha was left behind on earth, Ever danced with Calin. And, he’s fantasized about her ever since. When they meet again he waste no time in claiming and capturing Ever. Angus was nearly killed by Charlak when she tried to free Sorcha. A year later Angus comes upon Charlak again. Despite the danger, he has to have one waltz with her. In a passionate embrace, Charlak and Angus dance across a field of heather. An insatiable hunger rises in her and it isn't for his blood. Mordak spots Tor, and wants more from him than his blood. She burns for his touch, but before she can enchant Tor, three Valkyrie land in front of him. Mordak is not about to let the Norse blondes fly off with her man. Finally, the last two of the dancing vampire sisters, Foomna and Afric, shimmy and strut their way into belly dancing at a Scottish Steampunk Con. It's all sizzle and steam when they get together with a sexy rock guitarist and a hot looking god at the con.

Two businessmen-turned politicians get appointed into a Central Government-owned Governing Board of a University Hospital. Their mandate is to utilize every available opportunity to siphon funds to the coffers of their political sponsors. The two have greatly differing physical attributes: one is of a tiny friable frame while the other is massive and bears a traditional title befitting his giant-like physique. But both men share a common bond of unbridled quest for fleecing the public treasury and of gross inadequacy with spoken English. Over time the two titans of the Board strike a friendship as political appointees in the midst of other representatives of varying interests in the Board. The body grossly deviates from its intended roles and becomes a fund-siphoning machine whose members continuously bicker over the ratio and manner of sharing government money to the detriment of the institution whose interest they were expected to champion. Struggle for control of the body soon sets in and the first casualty becomes the Chief Executive and Administrative Head of the University Hospital. The latter is cajoled into patronizing a fetish priest where he was made to suck for, and swallow the human breast milk of the priestess. Continued rivalry between the two political titans leads to dissolution of the Board and a surprising appointment of one of the titans as the Sole Administrator of the University Hospital. Colossal malpractices follow the appointment, and protest by the workers leads to violent attack by the police with subsequent death of three people in the ensuing stampede and reckless use of live ammunition. One of the mortally wounded was the first Chairman of the Board. The perpetrators of the multiple evils show no remorse. They celebrate and dance. This they do even in the midst of the rot and decay, demonstrating an uncanny insensitivity to the gaping injuries which they have inflicted on their country and the general society whose lifeblood they had systematically drained without remorse. A very entertaining story of manipulations and hilarity in a society where the crude, uneducated and dishonorable, lord it over university dons and an otherwise enlightened but subjugatedd members of the public.

This book, about real vampires and the communities they have formed, explores the modern world of vampirism in all its amazing variety. Long before Dracula, people were fascinated by vampires. The interest has continued in more recent times with Anne Rice's Lestat novels, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the HBO series True Blood, and the immensely popular Twilight. But vampires are not just the stuff of folklore and fiction. Based upon extensive interviews with members of the Atlanta Vampire Alliance and others within vampire communities throughout the United States, this fascinating book looks at the details of real vampire life and the many expressions of vampirism as it now exists. In Vampires Today: The Truth about Modern Vampirism, Joseph Laycock argues that today's vampires are best understood as an identity group, and that vampirism has caused a profound change in how individuals choose to define themselves. As vampires come "out of the coffin," as followers of a "religion" or "lifestyle" or as people biologically distinct from other humans, their confrontation with mainstream society will raise questions, as it does here, about how we define "normal" and what it means to be human.

His human side clings to his past, but as a vampire he has access to a world of power, immortality, and liberation from human limitations. Should he work to destroy the world he lives in and dominate the planet, or side with humans in fighting the vampires that control him?

This book is the first study of the vampires in silent cinema, presenting a detailed academic yet accessible discussion of the films themselves and their sources. For the very first time, The Fire Elemental from the Wharton brothers’ The Mysteries of Myra (1916) is identified as cinema’s original vampire, his appearance initiating a rich and variegated period of film production that is currently missing from studies of horror cinema. Exciting and ground-breaking, Vampires on the Silent Screen also discusses Drakula Halála / Dracula’s death (1920), the first ever filmic female vampire in Erich Kober’s Lilith and Ly (1919), and the Dracula lookalike, Count Merlin in Alexander Korda’s Magic (1917) as well as many other productions. A socio-cultural framework with critical highlighting of eco-horror theory is used throughout to draw these unique discoveries together. This project is a must read for any horror enthusiasts out there.
