This original story centers on the Prarie Band Potawatomi, who were displaced several times from their original territory in the Great Lakes region to eventually be relocated in Kansas under the Indian Removal Act. Today, there are several bands of Potawatomi located in Wisconsin, Michigan, Oklahoma, and in Ontario, Canada.
