L'objet de ce mémoire concerne la simulation numérique des variateurs de vitesse pour machines synchrones à pôles saillants avec enroulements amortisseurs. L'étude comporte trois parties. Dans la première partie nous présentons la méthodologie de simulation et le générateur de programmes de simulation GASPE. Ensuite nous développons les modèles des convertisseurs statiques et de la machine synchrone en vue de la simulation numérique. Dans la deuxième partie nous appliquons ces outils à la modélisation et à la simulation de la machine synchrone alimentée par un groupe redresseur-commutateur, un redresseur-onduleur ou un cyclo-convertisseur à 36 thyristors. La dernière partie est consacrée à l'étude, à l'optimisation et à la comparaison des différentes structures présentées précédemment.
