Resumen: La sexualidad es un tema tabú desde tiempos inmemoriales, y cuando se trata de la infancia produce aún más temores. Esta realidad implica un gran reto para las instituciones educativas y maestros que tienen la intención de aportar desde la escuela a la formación para la sexualidad desde la primera infancia.Son los padres y madres, quienes ven esta información como un riesgo para sus hijos e hijas. Por lo que se decidió desarrollar esta investigación, para comprender las concepciones acerca de la educación sexual de los padres y madres de niños de jardín del Liceo Construyendo Mi Mundo, como un paso necesario para identificar la mejor manera de implementar un proyecto de educación para la sexualidad en la Institución. La investigación desarrollada fue abordada desde un enfoque cualitativo, y se realizaron actividades como grupo focal y entrevistas para la recolección de la información. Los principales hallazgos se relacionan con una contradicción permanente entre el interés porque los niños y niñas reciban una adecuada formación en sexualidad, hablando claramente al mismo tiempo que se expresan temores por exceder en la información o afectar el desarrollo de los niños y niñas. Lo que podría evidenciar una dicotomía entre un enfoque moralista y un enfoque dialógico en la educación sexual...

Forma parte de la tarea de la educacin inicial la incorporacin de una educacin sexual basada en la verdad, superadora de prejuicios, adecuada a las necesidades y posibilidades de comprensin de los nios pequeos y promotora de actitudes saludables.
