Human-animal studies is an interdisciplinary field that explores the spaces that animals occupy in human social and cultural worlds. Our September activity book has been prepared to help teachers of lower elementary grades start their school year in a positive manner. The ideas included can be used throughout the school year. With these ideas and activities, we hope to make the child more aware of his or her environment and culture, and in doing so, enhance learning.
