Find a fuller, richer life by letting God direct your destiny. The story of Ruth is a journey of transformation. By allowing God to transform her circumstances, Ruth went from a widow who would be excluded from society to a wife with a secure and protected future, a future that ultimately paved the way for the birth of King David! Her story is full of collision--loss, heartache, poverty, even shame--but she never let her past define her. Instead, the most painful time of her life became her most pivotal, propelling her to a destiny she never imagined. Perhaps you have a past you're struggling to overcome. If disappointments, whether a result of your own choices or the actions of others, have kept you from being your true self, this book is for you. Follow Ruth's life and discover the hope available to each of us. Your yesterday does not have to dictate your tomorrow. Despite your past pain, you, too, can find redemption and restoration.

She was once his inspiration. Now, he is her salvation. Cori Clarke spent twenty-one years walking in her sister's shadow. Being her bridesmaid is a duty she cannot refuse, even though her sister is marrying a man Cori always desired. The wedding is not a total loss once she runs into Jesse Woods, the older brother of her childhood friend. There are plenty of reasons to resist him, yet part of Cori is begging for Jesse's touch. Regardless of how hard she fights against her desire, an exposed secret leaves her in urgent need of his help. A complicated relationship is the last thing Jesse wants or needs. Being in a band left little time to find a girl genuinely interested in him, not the rock star he was becoming. Before he and Cori reconnected, he never thought he would be attracted to one of his sister's friends. Cori always meant more to him, but admitting as much means confessing to something he has hidden for years. He cannot afford to make himself vulnerable to any woman. When Jesse's agent makes a ridiculous request, he spins it in his favor, allowing him to help Cori escape a dire situation. Now that she is his responsibility, he is in an awkward position. Being together dredges up old feelings. The ones Jesse has tried to forget. The ones Cori is just discovering. Colliding with You is the second book in the Touched by Magic Series. Brielle was having one of the worst days ever. She had just lost her scholarship—with it her room at the school dormitory—and was about to face the wrath of her mother. It was probably fate that brought Infinite Chase, her favorite band in the world, to her town that day to perform live. Analyzing experiences of White mothers of daughters and sons of color across the U. S., Chandler provides an insider’s view of the complex ways in which Whiteness norms appear and operate. Through uncovering and analyzing Whiteness norms occurring across motherhood stages, Chandler has developed a model of three common ways of interacting with the norms of Whiteness: colluding, colliding, and contending. Chandler’s results suggest that collisions with Whiteness norms are a necessary step to increasing one’s racial literacy which is essential for effective contentions with norms of Whiteness. She proposes steps for applying her model in education settings, which can also be applied in other organizational contexts.
