John Owens Clark was born 1 February 1763 in Scotland. His parents were William Clark and Margaret Owens. His family emigrated and settled in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. John served in the American Revolution. He married Mary Blair in about 1783. They had eleven children. John died in Clarksburg, Ohio in 1811. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ohio, Indiana, Utah and Texas.
