The author writes with the aim of encouraging the people of God in the 'faith once for all delivered to the saints.' In these days of confusion and uncertainty in the world, he would remind the Church that its 'redemption draws near.' In the light of this awareness, we must strengthen 'those things that remain, ' that we may persevere and so be found faithful at His appearing. To this end he would clarify, augment and hopefully simplify what he wrote in his earlier work, 'He Comes' and 'You shall See His Glory in the Morning.' He also would finish a work that was intended to extend to a few pages but has ended with three volumes. May the God of all grace use this work for the strengthening of His people and the glory of His great and Holy name. James Brown was educated at Edinburgh and Aberdeen. After working in secular occupations for some time, he served as a minister in the Church of Scotland for thirty five years. He now serves as a Locum in the Church. He cannot improve on the the advice given to Robert Murray McCheyne as he entered his ministry by an aunt who urged him, 'Always say a good word for Jesus.' He would like to think that by the grace of God, he has endeavoured throughout the years to do just that.

Salvation is from our side a choice, from the divine side […] a conquest of the Most High God. – A. W. Tozer With words like these, Tozer shakes the soul. He crumbles the lies we believe and calls us to the more sure way. In these pages, Tozer says what it means to truly be saved. It is not merely to assent to Jesus and go on our same old way, but to be conquered by the Almighty God and invaded by His Spirit. A saved person is a transformed person. Let Tozer upend you in this moving prequel to The Pursuit of God. And being upended, may you be found standing upright in an upside-down world.

God has more for us than what we are experiencing. We have all limited God in our lives at some point in one way or another. Fear of success, fear of persecution and imaginations are all ways that we limit God. We often see ourselves in a certain way but we have to change that image if we want to experience the abundant life that God has for...

Among Christian devotional works, My Utmost for His Highest stands head and shoulders above the rest, with more than 13 million copies sold. But most readers have no idea that Oswald Chambers's most famous work was not published until ten years after his death. The remarkable person behind its compilation and publication was his wife, Biddy. And her story of living her utmost for God's highest is one without parallel. Bestselling novelist Michelle Ule brings Biddy's story to life as she traces her upbringing in Victorian England to her experiences in a WWI YMCA camp in Egypt. Readers will marvel at this young woman's strength as she returns to post-war Britain a destitute widow with a toddler in tow. Refusing personal payment, Biddy proceeds to publish not just My Utmost for His Highest, but also 29 other books with her husband's name on the covers. All the while she raises a child alone, provides hospitality to a never-ending stream of visitors and missionaries, and nearly loses everything in the London Blitz during WWII. The inspiring story of a devoted woman ahead of her times will quickly become a favorite of those who love true stories of overcoming incredible odds, making a life out of nothing, and serving God's kingdom.

In Matthew 10:16, Christ advised His Apostles to be "wise" and "innocent" as they go out "in the midst of wolves." This book shows Christians how to be wise and innocent as they work among people who sometimes behave like wolves. Temptation, greed, dishonesty, and misguided ambition have always presented challenges for Christians in the workplace. Add secular bias, political correctness, and persecution to the mix, and the modern workplace becomes a foreboding environment for Christians to navigate. This is so much the case, many Christians wonder if it is still possible to earn a living without compromising their faith. Christians on the Job does more than demonstrate that Christians can stand firm when confronted with faith-related dilemmas in the workplace. It also demonstrates how to go about it. Using concepts illustrated with real-life examples, steps to implement in specific situations, life application questions, and resources for going deeper, Dr. Goetsch draws a clear map to ensure Christians can find their way and thrive on the job.
