Richard Grey Jr. was just a baby when his archeologist father and his wife were attacked by bandits while on an expedition in Mongolia. Saved by a group of extremely intelligent condors, Grey was raised until he was a young man. Grey was adopted by a hermit, finally learning who and what he really was, but that hermit was killed by the same bandits who had murdered his parents many years before. Grey exacted his revenge, and found his way to America, where under a new identity, and armed with the power of flight, The Black Condor fought crime in an original and exciting manner. The comic reprints from Calumet History and Hobby are reproduced from actual classic comics, and sometimes reflect the imperfection of books that are decades old. These books are constantly updated with the best version available - if you are EVER unhappy with the experience or quality of a book, return the book to us to exchange for another title or the upgrade as new files become available. This is the most comprehensive dictionary available on comic art produced around the world. The catalog provides detailed information about more than 60,000 cataloged books, magazines, scrapbooks, fanzines, comic books, and other materials in the Michigan State University Libraries, America's premiere library comics collection. The catalog lists both comics and works about comics. Each book or serial is listed by title, with entries as appropriate under author, subject, and series. Besides the traditional books and magazines, significant collections of microfilm, sound recordings, vertical files, and realia (mainly T-shirts) are included. Comics and related materials are grouped by nationality (e.g., French comics) and genre (e.g., funny animal comics). Several times larger than any previously published bibliography, list, or catalog on the comic arts, this unique international dictionary catalog is indispensible for all scholars and students of comics and the broad field of popular culture.
