Thorpe, of St. Louis, who has spent much time and energy in gathering together the necessary data, and who is especially well equipped for the work. Dr. Thorpe brings an enthusiasm into this effort which must make for success so far as a faithful and vivid presentation of the chief characteristics of the leading men of the profession is concerned.
