CeramTec has had a long and close relationship with the French orthopaedic community and this community has been an incontestable pioneer in the use of ceramic in this field of orthopaedics. That is why the symposium takes place in Paris under the presidency of Professor J.-Y. Lazennec, Hôpital Pitié Salpêtrière.

This symposium aimed at creating a challenging meeting of high scientific standards with special emphasis on intensifying the communication and interaction between engineers and surgeons who develop and improve ceramic implants to be used for joint replacement in orthopedics.
