Upon superstitious headmaster Mordred's orders, the returning students and new lasses of Dragon Slayers' Academy deck themselves in lucky charms on Friday the thirteenth, but luck may not help when a wicked dragon arrives seeking revenge.

While Headmaster Mordred is trying to impress a new student, the ghost of one of the school's founders besieges the halls seeking his stolen gold.

When Mordred announces a three-day weekend for DSA, Wiglaf and his friends (including his Pig Latin–speaking pig, Daisy) are off to Erica’s castle. But when they arrive, they discover that Erica’s father, King Ken, has come down with a horrible case of liver pox. The wizard Zelnoc manages to cure the king’s pox, but as with all the wizard’s spells, there’s a magical mishap. Now, King Ken can only speak in Pig Latin! Can Zelnoc fix his mistake, or is there a better chance that pigs will fly?

Wiglaf and his friends Angus and Erica find themselves teamed with the obnoxious Bragwort to represent the Dragon Slayers' Academy in an unevenly matched contest at the All-Schools Brain-Power Tournament.

While Wiglaf and his friends search for their dragon, Worm, DSA's money-hungry headmaster, Mordred, is turning the school into a casino, rushing all of the students through graduation and out on their own.

What are those strange noises coming from the dungeon at DSA? Wiglaf and his stalwart cohorts Angus and Erica decide to investigate and inadvertently free the long-imprisoned ghost of the school founder—Sir Herbert Dungeonstone. Overjoyed to be on the loose again, Sir Herbert wreaks havoc, threatening to spoil the greedy headmaster's plan to turn DSA coed.

Living on the Cusp is an autobiography regarding a colorful life, filled with failures and missed opportunities, but with final success. I, through my life, enjoyed a multitude of various experiences starting by being raised on a large ranch and farming operation with influences from my dramatic parents and older achieving siblings providing a competitive effect while keeping me on a path towards achievements. My perceptions of life have been shaped by being born into the Great Depression, experiencing the events of World War II, being drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War, playing my saxophone professionally, being involved in the colorful entertainment industry, working as a professional photographer, and my many business ventures for good or for bad. After my many varied and colorful female relationships I found my loving mate Dorothy, which added to building my success through our thirty-eight years of challenges. My life truly has been that of living on the narrow edge, the cusp, of life while facing the challenges, trauma, and positive events leading to success at the top of my own small, but secure, peak.
