"The purpose of the Existing Land Use is to identify the amounts of land devoted to each particular land use and to analyze these distributions to identify any development problems. The purpose of the Neighborhood Analysis is to show the existing conditions in each neighborhood to include condition of structures, and to make recommendations to alleviate substandard housing conditions and supporting services. The Population and Economic Summary for Crystal Springs was based primarily upon data furnished by the Mississippi Research and Development Center and included total number of inhabitants and characteristics such as racial structure and age distribution and population forecasts over the twenty year planning period.
