The book originated from a midweek Bible study. My husband and I have the honor of working with new converts to Christianity. I kept seeing a trend of them being uncertain of their role in the kingdom of heaven. The real story of the ordeal experienced by both settlers and Indians during the Europeans' great migration west across America, from the colonies to California, has been almost completely eliminated from the histories we now read.
