'Apricity' is defined as "the warmth of the sun in the midst of winter." A poetic interruption. Interruptions in our lives paint the colors of our unique stories. Welcome to the inaugural edition of Apricity Magazine, an international arts magazine celebrating interruptions through literary, visual, and performing expressions. In this edition, peruse human stories detailing descending cataclysms, striking changes, and healing convalescence. We hope to impart an appreciation of a movement to challenge and become an interruption. Apricity Magazine (www.apricitymagazine.com) was founded in August 2016 by Margaret Siu. We are a nonprofit, literary and art, multimedia, international magazine. We accept literary, visual and performing artworks for our online content and select the finest to showcase in our annual print edition. Currently the editorial board is staffed by 10 University of Texas at Austin Plan II Honors Program students curious about the human journey.
