The topics for this second edition were those that have a direct bearing upon oral diagnosis and treatment planning. The references, quoted at the end of each chapter, were also selected to provide a basis for future in-depth topic evaluation rather than as a comprehensive literature compendium. The coverage of the chapters includes blood supply of the oral tissue, anxiety and stress associated with dental treatment and mechanisms of tooth eruption.
