Excerpt from Thirteenth Annual Report of the Boston Water Board, for the Year Ending December 31, 1888 The new pumping-station at Chestnut Hill (a cut of which appears in another part of this report) is finished, excepting a few details. The two Gaskill engines have been in use, more or less, during the past year pumping water into the fisher-hill reservoir. A new gate-house has also been built and the adjacent grounds graded and 'sodded. The reservoir and grounds will now present an appearance in accordance-with other' parts of the works.
