Le Tribunal international du droit de la mer est une juridiction internationale qui traite des différends d'ordre maritime. Le Tribunal est ouvert aux Etats, aux organisations internationales et à d'autres entités. L'Annuaire offre aux juristes, aux universitaires, aux étudiants, ainsi qu'au public dans son ensemble, l'accès à des informations concernant la compétence, la procédure et l'organisation du Tribunal, ainsi que la composition de celui-ci au cours de l'année 2000. L'Annuaire a été établi par le Greffe du Tribunal. Le Tribunal a également publié un volume de textes de base contenant des documents qui constituent le fondement du mandat et du fonctionnement du Tribunal, et qui représentent l'essentiel de la documentation relative aux règles de fond et de procédure qu'applique le Tribunal. This book examines the international factors such as enforced democracy and globalization that have affected the Great Lakes region of Africa. The horrendous consequences in terms of violence and human suffering of the events in this area have been exhibited in the media, however news coverage after 1994 was at times unreliable. This book takes a look at life since then, adopting an independent, and on occasion controversial perspective.

Through the development of a valid and reliable instrument, this book sets out to study the role that interpreters play in the various settings where they work, i.e. the courts, the hospitals, business meetings, international conferences, and schools. It presents interpreters’ perceptions and beliefs about their work as well as statements of their behaviors about their practice. For the first time, the administration and results of a survey administered across languages in Canada, Mexico and the United States offer the reader a glimpse of the interpreters' views in their own words. It also discusses the tension between professional ideology and the reality of interpreters at work. This book has implications for the theory and practice of interpreting across settings.

This yearbook presents a range of statistical data on international production and foreign trade of fishery commodities for recent years up to 2001. It includes data series on production of processed and preserved fishery products in terms of quantity and on imports and exports of fishery products in terms of quantity and value. It also gives statistics of apparent consumption of fish and fishery products, the value of world catches, the disposition of fishery production and direction of trade for selected countries.

This publication presents summary tables and revisions for data on world production of fish, crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic animals and plants from aquaculture practices for the years 1992-2001. The statistics, in quantity and value, are presented by country or territory, species, culture environment and year, and for various aggregations. The data are based on officially reported national statistics, or where these are lacking or are considered unreliable, from FAO estimates based on the best information available. A separate volume is available with statistics on the production of fish, crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic animals, residues and plants from capture fisheries (ISBN 9250049536).
