This publication relates to all species listed in CITES Appendices I, II (as of 19 July 2000) and III (as of 12 June 2001). Annotated CITES Appendices and Reservations can also serve as a checklist for CITES-listed species, and in addition explains what is the listing history of the species. All reservations by Parties and their dates are listed. This is a trilligual publication and the information appears in English, French and Spanish.

This checklist provides alphabetical lists of the species of fauna and flora included in Appendices I, II and III of CITES in order to help the CITES Management and Scientific Authorities, Customs officials, and all others involved in implementing and enforcing the Convention.
