Amber and Sapphire are twin sisters, but they are nothing alike. Amber has golden hair and green eyes. Sapphire does not. Amber is all things a princess should be. Sapphire is not. When Amber makes a disastrous deal with the Wicked Witch, it is her sister Sapphire who comes to her aid. What starts as a journey of seemingly dissimilar sisters, turns into the best adventure of their lives. Created by the mother-daughter duo (bestselling author Ekaterina Walter and her 8-year old daughter Taya), the story is about sisterhood, family, and adventure. The trip the sisters undertake isn't just about reversing the spell, rather about understanding that diversity can be an advantage during an important journey and that what we might perceive as impractical knowledge might prove to be just the thing to save the day. Women are naturally healers. Throughout time, they have performed curative roles as mothers, midwives, caregivers, and wisewomen, but modern medicine has suppressed this important tradition. Ancient women healers knew that the body is more than what is seen: through body, emotions, mind, and spirit, we can connect with the Goddess and actively choose to heal ourselves and others. By relearning and using ancient skills like aura and chakra work, creative visualization, meditation, laying on of hands, psychic healing, and working with crystals and gemstones, women can prevent or transform many dis-eases of the body and spirit before they become matters for modern medicine. In THE WOMEN'S BOOK OF HEALING, Diane Stein, author of the best-selling ESSENTIAL REIKI, demystifies, explains, and teaches these skills in ways that modern women can learn and use. She first introduces basic healing, then applies those skills to healing with crystals and gemstones-a beautiful, effective, and empowering aspect of the ancient woman's healing methods. A comprehensive guide from a knowledgeable healer, THE WOMEN'S BOOK OF HEALING proves that well-being is within a woman's choice and natural abilities, and reaffirms her timeless role as healer of herself and others. • An affirmation of woman's traditional role as healer, speaking to a national trend toward alternative medicine and natural healing methods. • Demystifies, explains, and teaches the healing capabilities of auras, chakras, laying on of hands, crystals, gemstones, and colors. • Thoroughly revised and updated, with a new introduction. • Diane Stein's books have sold more than 600,000 copies.

A GHOST OF A CHANCE A voice, an icy, whispering voice, came out of the darkness from all around her; from everywhere, yet nowhere. It could have been born of her imagination, yet Rune knew the voice was the Ghost's, and that to run was to die. Instantly, but in terror that would make dying seem to last an eternity. "Why have you come here, stupid child " it murmured, as fear urged her to run away. "Why were you waiting here For me Foolish child, do you not know what I am What I could do to you " Rune had to swallow twice before she could speak, and even then her voice cracked and squeaked with fear. "I've come to fiddle for you-sir " she said, gasping for breath between each word, trying to keep her teeth from chattering. The Ghost laughed, a sound with no humor in it, the kind of laugh that called up empty wastelands and icy peaks. "Well, then, girl. Fiddle, then. And pray to that Sacrificed God of yours that you fiddle well, very well. If you please me, if you continue to entertain me until dawn, I shall let you live, a favor I have never granted any other. But I warn you-the moment my attention lags, little girl-you'll die like all the others and you will join all the others in my own private little Hell." Beatriz, Akacia, CeCe, Shadow, Kendra, Savannah, Misseyordinary names given to not so ordinary people. I mean, theyve got certain abilities normal humans wouldnt have and they live (quite) ordinary lives in their warehouse somewhere in San Francisco. That is until one of them very foolishly gets arrested by this police officer called Mayvis. I swearall hell breaks loose after that. The other girls have to rescue her, the government chases them out of their home, and then they get put into some school not in the west side. But that part of the story is quite entertaining, I have to admit. During their time there, they meet the most unusual characters you will probably ever have the pleasure of reading about. Then after that, they meet a few more people, including a familiar face to one of the girls, who is going to help them take down the evilness sent to find something that could possibly wreck this dimension and the next.
