Excerpt from Agricultural Investigations at the United States Field Station, Sacaton, Ariz., 1931-35 The field station also has cooperated with the Arizona Agricultural Experiment Station, the Agricultural Extension Service, the Maricopa County Farm Bureau Pure Seed Association, and the Arizona Crop Improvement Association in maintaining stocks of pure seed of the Pima, S X P, and Acala varieties for planting in the Salt River and Gila River Valleys. Most of these activities have possibilities of being beneficial to the Indians as well as to the white farmers, since the prosperity of the Indian agriculture is closely dependent upon that of the general agriculture of the region. Diagrams showing the location of buildings and the arrangement of crop experimental plantings at the field station and at the seed farm in 1935 are shown in figures 1 and 2.
