The spotlight of this essay will begin with a prologue that abridge the growth of cultivation, food knowledge and sustainability perspective; a section on challenges confronting optimum crop production to meet the needs of humanity; a section about potential environmental and social consideration solutions; a section on forward looking approach and concluding remarks.
