By creating the Fifty Falls Challenge, the hope is that it will help ease some of the strain of overcrowding in the High Peaks; that it will allow hikers to discover other fun and exciting areas of the Adirondacks; and that participants, taking on the challenge, will visit local businesses and help out those economies.
