Two hundred years ago this Province was first settled by William Penn. Of the latter event we have lately heard much, of the former but little 5 and yet the latter was so much the natural sequence of the former, that the history of the one is incomplete with out the history of the other. I propose, therefore, this evening to speak of three men, each of whom was prominent in the early history of the Society of Friends, and each of whom had somewhat to do with the settlement of Pennsylvania and its vicinity.
