Excerpt from Acts and Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa tices in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same; That the powers vested in the Courts Of Gen eral Sessions Of the peace in the several Counties in this Commonwealth, by the Act to which this is an addition, be and hereby are extended to authorize the liberation Of persons convicted before a Justice Of the Peace, in the same manner, and upon the same conditions, as if the said persons had been convicted before either Of the Courts mentioned in the Act to which this is in addition.
